“Enginlere sığmam tasarım”
Bu sözü ilk duyduğumda; güzel bir kelime oyunu olmasından, adımı taşımasından ve içindeki akıl zorlayıcı yönden ötürü çok sevmiştim. Başlık olarak kullanmamın sebebi ise temamızın “tasarım” olmasıyla birlikte, tasarımın “insanın kendi kabına sığmaması” durumunu güzel özetlemesi…
Tasarım dünyayı daha yaşanır kılan insani çözümler üretip, sadece cisimlerle olmaktan öte hayatın tamamıyla ilgili bir bakış açısı sergiler. Şekillerle işe yararlık, tercihlerle gereksinimler, çağın gelişimi ile elimizdeki beslenme noktaları arasında güzel, derin ve zihin açıcı bağlar kuran bir düşünüş ve hareket etme biçimidir bence. 9 sene önce yola çıkan Photo Graphica’nın hikayesi de bir kabına sığmama hikayesidir ve düşünüş tarzımız hep bu şekilde hayat buldu. Tasarımlarla anlatacak daha çok şeyimiz var.
Dergiye renk katacak iki önemli eylemin içerisine girdik bu sayıda. Biri konu olarak ele aldığımız pop art sanatı ile Bursa’yı bir araya getirmek, diğeri ise yine başka bir konumuz olan grafiti sanatını ofisimizin bahçesi ile buluşturmak oldu. Ve ayrıca çok güzel detay haberlerimiz var. Zeki Müren’i daha yakından tanımak isteyenler, size sesleniyorum, onun tasarımcı yanını keşfetmek eğlenceli olacaktır. Sahne, kostüm ve ışık sanatını uzmanlarından dinleyeceğimiz, Bursa’dan çıkan bir marka isme, Arzu Kaprol’e, kulak verdiğimiz bir sayı elinizdeki. Baharla birlikte ruhumuzdaki sınırları zorladığımız, düşünsel ve duygusal olarak filizlendiğimiz, ferahladığımız bir zaman dilimindeyiz ve biz bunu ruhumuzu renklendirerek değerlendirmek istedik.
Tasarım bir nevi dünyaya nasıl baktığınızı gösterendir. Duruştur. Dünyayı değişime zorlamaktır. Anlam katmadır ve işe yarar olmalıdır. Hatta bir problem çözme yolu, metodu ve odaklanarak düşünme şekli de diyebiliriz. Yaratıcı zekanın birbirinden bütünüyle farklı dokuları bir araya getirerek en sıradan şeylere bile zeka pırıltısı eklemesidir. Yeni bir şeydir. Yeniden doğuş da olabilir elbette. Psikolojiyi tanır, estetiği silah olarak yanına alır, teknolojiyi sağ kolu yapar ve insanların çeşitli ihtiyaçlarına cevap arar. Yani kaşiftir. İnsanları anlamak için sihirli bir işlevsellik arar, hayattan daha çok keyif alma metotlarını bulur yani sihirbazdır. Yenilikçidir. Doğa ve insan ile çağ arasında bağ kurar. Yani iletişimcidir. Araştırmacı yanıyla ar-ge departmanıdır. Arayışımız tam olarak bunlarla şekillendi. Dilerim ki keyif alacağınız ve çağrıştıklarınızı bize ileteceğiniz bir sayı olmuştur.

“Enginlere sığmam tasarım”[1]
When I first heard these words, I liked it because it was a nice play of words, it included my name in it and it was also quite mind-boggling. The reason I used it as a title is that the theme of our current issue is “design”[2] and it also summarizes design quite well as it describes one “exceeding and gushing out” which can also be identified with design… “
Design creates solutions that make the world more livable while also putting forth a whole different perspective about life in general. I believe that it is a way of thinking and moving that is able to establish deep and eye-opening connections between shapes and utility, preferences and requirements, development of the age and the nourishment points we have on hand. The story of Photo Graphica that started 9 years ago is also a story of gushing out and our style of thinking has always been as such. We have so many things that we still wish to tell you by way of designs. “
In this issue, we are trying two important things that will color up the magazine. First is related with pop art which we have handled as a subject matter, whereas another one is uniting the art of graffiti with the garden of our office. And we also have wonderful detailed news. I am addressing those who want to meet Zeki Müren and get to know him more closely; it would be fun to discover the designer in him. In this issue, we are also talking with Arzu Kaprol, a name from Bursa about whom we will learn more from stage, costume and light experts. With the coming of spring, we are in a period of time when we push the boundaries in our soul, blossom and relax spiritually and we wanted to benefit from this.
Design also shows our perspective of the world. It is a stance. It is forcing the world to change. It is adding meaning and it should be effective. Indeed, it is a means and method of solving problems by way of focusing. It is the creative intelligence adding a touch of intelligence to even the most mundane of things by bringing together different textures. It is something else completely. It can also be a rebirth of course. It knows psychology, it makes aesthetic its weapon, technology its right arm and thus seeks answers to the various needs of people. So, it is a discoverer. It looks for a magical functionality to get to know people, it finds ways to enjoy life more; so, it is a magician. It is innovative. It makes connections between nature, people and the age. It is a communicator. It is also the R&D department due to its researcher side. Our search was shaped as such. So, I hope it has been an issue that you will enjoy.
