Başarısız insanlarla en başarılı insanların aynı kişiler olması bize ne anlatıyor olabilir? Başarı gösteren kim varsa kazandığı başarılara ulaşana dek hayal kırıklıkları ile dolu bir serüvenden geçmiştir. Başka bir anlatımla zahmet olmadan rahmet de pek oralarda dolaşmaz…
Sınavlar vardır, belli dereceler kazanırız. Yarışmalar vardır, belli ödüller kazanırız. Ulaşmaya çalıştığımız bir sonuç vardır, çabalarız. Veya kaybederiz. Sınavdan kalır, yarışmalarda elenir, hedefimizden uzaklaşırız. Zaten başarı için bir tanım varsa, hedefle aranızdaki mesafe olabilir. Yüzlerce kez deneyip yanılanlar olmasaydı, bugün yeryüzündeki hangi başarıdan bahsedebilirdik? Değerlendirme yaparken sıkça kullandığım bir soru vardır: “Neye göre?”, “Kime göre?” İşte bu iki soru aslında cevabı bulmak için yeterli. Kıstasları belli ve belli bir disiplinle oluşturulan süreçler ölçülebilir bir başarıdan da bahsetmemizi sağlayabilir. Bu eğitimle ilgili bir yazı değil! Her alanda bunu sınamak mümkün. Kimi zaman süreci yaşamak bir başarıyken, kimi zaman başarısız olmak bir başarının müjdecisidir. Eğer ki böyle olmasaydı, mucitler hiçbir şeyi icat edemezdi. Konuya Uzak Doğu’dan bir bakış açısı geliştirirsek (Do), süreç varılacak yerden çok daha mühimdir. Bu temamızda biz de başarıyı anlama yolunda kafa yorduk. Bugüne dek yaptığımıza devam etmeye çalıştık; başarılı olmaya değil, başarılı olmak için çabalamaya… Sizin kıstaslarınızla başarabildiysek ne mutlu bize.
Çok değerli isimleri ağırlıyoruz. Hikayeleriyle çağdaş zamanların meddahı diye naçizane bir tanım yapabileceğim Sunay Akın da konuğumuz, daha önce de dergimizde yer alan Türkiye Uğurböcekleri Derneği’nin neferi Ahmet Şerif İzgören de… Tarihi başarılarla taçlanmış Bursaspor’dan da iki isim bizimle. Bir Bursaspor efsanesi olan Sedat Özden ve “şampiyonluk öyküsü”nde büyük payı olan Sercan Yıldırım… Kıtaları aşan başarılarıyla Ayşe Ayla Karacabey’den tutun, spor ve sanatta son dönemde dikkat çeken birçok başarılı isme kadar, onlarca örnek alınacak yaşam bu sayıda. Nobel’den Guinness’e, tescilli lezzetimiz zeytinden İznik’te keşfedilen bazilikaya kadar farklı ve içinde başarı tohumları bulunan dosyalar hazırladık. Bursa eğitim tarihine dikkat kesildik. Uzun lafın kısası, dijital dünyada hap olarak aldığınız onlarca anlık ve yüzeysel bilgi akışına inat; okunası, derin ve altbilgi barındıran çalışmalar hazırladık. Keyifli okumalar…
I succeeded (not)
What could it tell us that unsuccessful people and the most successful ones are the same people? Whoever has had some sort of success must have experienced many adventures full of frustrations until reaching the success they desire. In other words, gains do not go without pains…
There are exams, we reach certain levels. There are competitions, we win various awards. There is always a goal we strive for. Or we lose. We fail in the exam, we are disqualified from the competition, torn away from our goals. Indeed, if there is a definition for success, it may well be the distance between you and your goal. Which success could we talking about now if there were no people who tried hundreds of times and failed? I have a question that I frequently use while evaluating: “According to what?”, “According to who?” Actually, these two questions suffice to find the answer. Processes with predetermined criteria resting on a certain discipline may enable us to talk about some sort of quantifiable success. This is not an article on education! It is possible to test it in every area. Whereas sometimes living the process is a success, at other times failure is the harbinger of success. If it was not the case, inventors would not be able to invent anything. If we are to develop a perspective from the Far East (Do), the journey is much more important than the destination. We tried to understand success in this issue. We tried to continue what we did until now; that is to strive for not being successful but success itself… How happy we are if we have been able to do so according to your criteria.
We are hosting very valuable names. Sunay Akın whom I can introduce as a meddah of modern times with his stories is also our guest in addition to Ahmet Şerif İzgören who is the pioneer of the Turkish Ladybug Association which found a place for itself in our previous issues… We also have two names from Bursaspor crowned with historic successes. One is Sedat Özden, a legend of Bursaspor and Sercan Yıldırım who made a significant contribution in the “championship story”… We have many names that can be taken as examples be it from Ayşe Ayla Karacabey with successes all over different continents to many names attracting attention in sports and art in recent years. From Nobel to Guinness, from our certified taste of olives to the basilica unearthed in İznik; we prepared different articles with different seeds of success in them all. We also gave our attention to the history of education in Bursa. To cut it short, we prepared articles with significant preparation and intense knowledge despite all the momentary and superficial information you receive from the digital world. Happy reading…
