Aynı adlı romandan uyarlanan 1961 yapımı film Türkiye’de “Çılgınlar Kraliçesi” adıyla  yayınlanmıştı. Audrey Hepburn, filmde yalnızlığını ve mutsuzluğunu sahte bir neşenin altına gizleyen, aşk yerine mücevherlere inanmayı tercih eden Holly karakterine hayat vermişti. Bu pozu ile sinema tarihinin ve popüler kültürün vazgeçilmez bir parçası haline gelerek günümüze kadar ulaştı.

The movie is an adaptation of the novel with the same name and it was screened in Turkey with the title, “Queen of the Oddballs”. In the movie, Audrey Hepburn had given life to the Holly character who hides her loneliness and unhappiness underneath a false joy and prefers to believe in jewels instead of love. She made history in the world of cinema with this pose and reached our day as an unforgettable part of popular culture.
