80 Bıçakçılık konusunda bir marka olan Bursa, yalnızca kentine kendi değerlerini hatırlatmakla kalmıyor; Bursa bıçağını ülke hatta dünya çapında tanıtmaya hazırlanıyor. Bıçakçılığı “eski günlerdeki gibi” cazip ve tercih edilen bir mesleğe dönüştürecek çalışmaların merkezi ise Bursa Bıçak Müzesi olacak gibi görünüyor. Müze için Vakıflar Bölge Müdürlüğü’ne ait iki adet tarihi yapı kullanıldı. 1700’lü ve 1800’lü yıllardan kalma bu iki yapı Bursalıların atalarından kalan bir mesleğin yok olup gitmesine engel olma amacı taşıyor. Yalnızca bu özel müzenin varlığı ile değil Bursa’nın ve Bursalıların sahip çıkması ile bıçakçılık; eski ilgisine ve ihtişamlı günlerine geri dönüyor. Gençler, dedelerinden kalan, bu topraklarda değerlenip dünyaya açılan bu geleneksel mesleğe heves etmeye başladı bile. Yarının bıçak ustaları, tıpkı geçmişte olduğu gibi, bugünden yetişiyor. Bu gelişmeler böyle devam ederse; hem bıçakçılık mesleği sonsuzluğa uzanacak hem de Bursa, eskisi gibi, en iyi bıçak ustalarının memleketi olarak anılacak. Two historical structures that are the properties of the Regional Directorate for Foundations have been used for the museum. These two structures dating back to the 1700’s and 1800’s aim to prevent the disappearance of an heirloom profession. Knife making is returning to its past days of glory thanks not only to the existence of this museum but also the interest of Bursa and the locals of Bursa. The young generation has already started to fancy for this traditional profession that gained value in these lands and opened up to the world. Knife making masters of tomorrow are catching up just as they did in the past. If all goes in this manner; knife making profession will reach out to infinity and Bursa will once again be known as the home of the best knife makers.
