Başarılarıyla ödüllendirilen ve ihtiyacı olandan fazlasını kazanan Akbıyık Sultan, hocasının dünya malı konusundaki uyarılarını dinleyip kazandıklarını ihtiyacı olanlarla paylaşmış. Ömrünü insanlara yardım etmeye ve onlara doğru yolu göstermeye adamış. Edebiyatta “Bursa” Bursa’da Zaman şiiriyle adını kentin hafızasına kazıyan Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, insanın uhrevi huzuru bulabileceği tek yer olarak Muradiye’yi gösteren Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, Bursa’nın işgali için yazdığı şiirle acısını paylaşan Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Zeyniler Köyü’nün Çalıkuşu’nu yazan Reşat Nuri Güntekin ve Bursa Erkek Lisesi’nin medar-i iftiharlarından Sait Faik Abasıyanık ise edebiyatta Bursa diyenler oldu. Eskici Mehmet Dede Eskici Mehmet Dede(14) was a fellow who gave up on all worldly things and made a living in Bursa sometimes as a junk dealer and sometimes as a merchant while trying to help people. He shared what little he earned with those in need and prayed for everyone to live in peace. Today, food is served to those in need at the public soup kitchen in his name just like he would have wanted to. Abdal Mehmet Abdal Mehmet is among the reputable fellows in the Bursa of Evliya Çelebi, the city “with spirit”. It is said that he has lived during the same time frame with Emir Sultan and has played an important role in the foundation of the Ottoman Chiefdom. Abdal Mehmet is accepted as an evliya of Bursa and those asking for his help sit down at the courtyard of the mosque in his name praying to him under the shade of an old plane tree. Abdal Murad Today, it is believed that those who visit the shrine named after him find peace and it is rumored that Abdal Marad has fought during the conquest of Bursa with a sword so heavy that no one other than him could carry. This sword could break a rock into two. He has killed two giant snakes with this miraculous sword during the time of Orhan Gazi thus saving the folk living there. Akbıyık Sultan The real name of Akbıyık Sultan is known as “Ahmed Şemseddin” and it is told that he was brought up with the teachings of Hacı Bayram-ı Veli. Akbıyık Sultan took side with Murad Han the 2nd during the war against the Crusaders, taking on important tasks for the expansion of the Ottomans in Rumelia. Akbıyık Sultan was rewarded for his Reşat Nuri Güntekin bravery with more than he needed after which he listened to the warnings by his teacher against worldly goods thus sharing it all with those in need. He has devoted his whole life to helping people and showing them the right path. “Bursa” in literature Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar who engraved his name on the memory of the city with his poem entitled “Time in Bursa”, Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu who indicated that Muradiye was the only place where one could find spiritual peace, Mehmet Akif Ersoy who shared the grief of Bursa with a poem on the occupation, Reşat Nuri Güntekin author of “Çalıkuşu of the Zeyniler Village” and Sait Faik Abasıyanık a renowned alumni of Bursa Boy’s High School were among those who wrote about Bursa.
