Dillere pelesenk olmuş anlatımla “Barcelona İstanbul ise Madrid Ankara’dır” diyenlere kulak asmayın çünkü cıvıl cıvıl, hareketli, 24 saat canlılığını yitirmeyen ve ziyaretçisine beklentilerinden fazlasını veren bu şehir yeşilliği, inanılmaz zenginlikteki müzeleri, parkları, çok iyi organize olmuş şehir planı, tarihi, kozmopolit yapısı ve gece hayatıyla başkent olması dışında kardeş şehri Ankara ile aynı paydaya konulamayacak kadar cazibeli bir dünya şehri. Tıpkı İstanbul gibi Avrupa’nın önemli aktarma noktalarından biri olan Madrid’e -doğal olarak THY de dahil olmak üzere- birçok havayolunun haftanın her günü karşılıklı seferleri mevcut. Yine de bilet fiyatları seyahatinizi önceden planlamazsanız oldukça yüksek. Bu yüzden uzun vadeli bir plan yapmanızı öneririm. İstanbul Atatürk Havalimanı’ndan yaklaşık 4 saat süren uçuşun ardından yüzölçümü bakımından Avrupa’nın önde gelen havaalanlarından biri olan Aeropuerto de Barajas’a ulaşacaksınız. Havaalanından şehir merkezine ulaşım metro yoluyla sağlanabiliyor. Rahatına düşkün olanlar ve şehre adaptasyonunu erkenden sağlamak isteyenler yer üstünü tercih edip üzerinde “Libre” yazan beyaz Madrid, located roughly at the exact center of the Iberian Peninsula and thus of Spain is the fifth most populated city in Europe after İstanbul, London, Berlin and Paris. Do not heed those who say, “If Barcelona is İstanbul then Madrid is Ankara”, because this lively, vivacious city that is active 24 hours a day has nothing in common with Ankara other than being the capital city is an attractive city of the world with its greenness, incredibly beautiful museums, parks, well organized city plan, history, cosmopolitan structure and night life. Many airlines – naturally including THY – have roundtrip flights to Madrid every day of the week since it is one of the important transfer spots of Europe just like Istanbul. However, ticket prices are quite high if you do not plan ahead. That is why, I would advise you to make a long term plan. After a flight of about 4 hours from İstanbul Atatürk Airport, you will reach Aeropuerto de Barajas, one of the leading airports in Europe due to its size. Those who self-indulgent or those who want to adapt to the city early on may prefer to travel above ground and ride towards their places of accommodation in white taxis with the word “Libre” imprinted on them. My suggestion to those who would want to ease their days in Madrid would be to prefer staying not based on the stars of the location but staying somewhere close to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor where the heart of the city pounds. If you threw away your luggage and strapped on your camera, now it is time to hit the road in
