Mavi ırkın en değerlisi: yaşam ağacı

James Cameron’un sinema tarihine iz bırakan yapımlarından biri olan Avatar filmi, yalnızca bütçesi değil, anlattığı manevi değerleri de son derece yüksek bir sinema şaheseriydi. Pandora gezegeninin, insanların değişen hatta neredeyse tamamen unuttukları değer yargılarına sahip mavi halkı Na’viler, insanın hayvanlarla olan bağını temsil eden İkran kuşları ve Na’vilerin bu dünyadaki tüm manevi değerleri yüklediği, doğa-insan ilişkisinin simgesi kutsal yaşam ağaçları Eywa… Cameron aslında filmi, onu yayınlamak için gereken teknolojiden yıllar önce çekmeyi planlamıştı. Beklenenden ancak 10 yıl sonra seyircisiyle buluşabilen bu 3 boyutlu görsel mucize, insanlara, unuttukları insani değerleri hatırlatarak “beklemeye değer” olduğunu kabul ettirdi.

The Avatar movie by James Cameron which left its marks in the history of movies was a spectacular production not only in terms of its budget, but also in terms of the spiritual values it told. The blue Na’vi race from the Pandora planet with values that most of the humans have forgotten, the birds of Ikran representing the bind that humans have with animals and the sacred trees of life, the Eywa which represent the relationship between nature-humans… Cameron had actually planned the movie years before the technology required to shoot the movie was available. This 3D visual spectacle that could reach its viewers only after a 10 year hiatus reminded people the humane values of life while also making them accept that “it was worth the wait”.
