“Şehre hak ettiğini verdik”

“Şampiyonluk maçının oynanacağı gün, şehirde olağanüstü bir hava vardı. Tüm Bursa şampiyonluğa hazırdı. Şampiyonluk maçını kazanamasaydık, ligi ikincilikle bitirecektik. İkinciliğin de bir başarı olduğunu biliyorduk ancak biz bu şehre şampiyonluk yaşatmak istiyorduk.”

Bursaspor’un şampiyon kadrosundan, takımın Avrupa’da puan aldığı maçın ilk golünün sahibi, hobi olarak başladığı futbolu meslek olarak devam ettirip genç yaşında birçok başarıya imza atan Sercan Yıldırım ile Bursa’yı, Bursaspor’u ve Bursalı olmayı konuştuk.

Öncelikle sizden spor hayatınızın nasıl başladığını dinleyelim…

Bursaspor Profesyonel Futbol Okulu’nda hobi olarak başladım. Bursaspor’un altyapısında futbol eğitimi aldım.

Size göre “başarılı bir futbolcu” olmanın sırrı nedir?

Gayretli bir şekilde çalışmak ve kararlı olmak başarılı bir futbolcu için en önemli iki ilke. Altyapıda futbola başladığımızda bize önce bunu öğrettiler. Bursaspor büyük bir camia, bu camiaya ait olmak futbolcularını motive eden unsurlardan biri. Başarılı bir futbolcu taraftarın da desteğini alır.

Farklı takımlarda oynadığınız dönemler oldu. Bu dönemlerde deplasman maçları için memleketinize geldiğinizde neler hissettiniz?

Tedirgin. Bursaspor taraftarı rakip takımı etkisinde bırakan bir taraftar grubu. Ben doğma büyüme Bursalıyım. Bu şehre aitim. Bu yüzden başka bir takımda oynadığım dönemde Bursa deplasmanlarına gelince yoğun ve karışık duygular yaşadım. Hatta Bursa’ya deplasman müsabakası için geldiğimiz bir maçta kadın taraftarlar önünde oynamıştık. Benim için ilginç bir deneyimdi.

Bursaspor’a şampiyonluğu getiren o maçın öncesinde neler yaşandığını bizimle paylaşır mısınız?

Şampiyonluk maçının oynanacağı gün, şehirde olağanüstü bir hava vardı. Tüm Bursa şampiyonluğa hazırdı. Şampiyonluk maçını kazanamasaydık, ligi ikincilikle bitirecektik. İkinciliğin de bir başarı olduğunu biliyorduk ancak biz bu şehre şampiyonluk yaşatmak istiyorduk. Sezonun bu son maçında Beşiktaş’ı 2-1 mağlup etmiştik. Kadıköy’den gelen beraberlik haberiyle beraber Türk futbol tarihi için belki de yeni bir dönem başladı. O maçta oynamak, galibiyeti getiren golün pasını vermiş olmak hayatımın en büyük gururlarından biri.

 Atatürk Stadyumu’na veda etmek sizi nasıl etkiledi?

Stadın yıkılmasına büyüklerimiz karar vermiş. Atatürk Stadyumu’nun ambiyansı başkaydı. Ben o stadın ruhunu yaşayabildiğim için çok şanslıyım. Şampiyonluk kupasını orada kaldırmış olmak stadı daha da özel kılıyor. İlerde çocuklarıma anlatacağım güzel anılar biriktirdim orada.

Taraftar ve tribün. Bu ikilinin bir futbolcu için önemi büyük olsa gerek…

Kesinlikle. Maça çıkmadan önce taraftarın coşkulu olması beni çok etkiliyor. Taraftarla birlikte sevinebilmek, tribünlerle bir olup sahaya çıkmak bana ayrı bir keyif veriyor. Gol sevinçlerimde de bu yüzden timsah yürüyüşü yapmayı tercih ediyorum. Daha önce de dediğim gibi ben Bursa’nın çocuğuyum. Bu takımın taraftarı olarak tribünde de bulundum, top toplayıcı olarak sahada da görev yaptım. Bursaspor seyircisinin önemi benim için çok büyük.

Biraz da gelecekten, planlarınızdan ve hayallerinizden bahsedelim mi?

Gelecek planları yaparken tek taraflı düşünemiyorum. Tek taraflı planlar yapıldığında başka etkenler ortaya çıkabiliyor. Bursaspor’un bir parçası olmaktan çok mutluyum. Ait olduğum bu şehirde, bu camiayla futbol yaşantımı uzun yıllar boyunca sürdürmek istiyorum. Futbol hayatım ne yönde değişirse değişsin en büyük hayalim tüm yaşamımı Bursa’da sürdürebilmek.

• 1990 tarihinde Bursa’da doğdu.
• Profesyonel kariyerine 2007-2008 sezonunda Bursaspor’da başladı.
• Aynı sezonda ilk golünü attı.
• İlk şampiyonluk deneyimini 2009- 2010 tarihinde Bursaspor ile birlikte yaşadı.
• 2010-2011 sezonunda ilk defa Şampiyonlar Ligi’nde oynadı ve bir gol attı.
• 2009 yılında A Milli Takım formasını giydi.
• 2011-2012 sezonunda Galatasaray’a transfer oldu ve 2. kez şampiyonluk kupası kaldırdı.
• 2011 – 2013 sezonları arasında Türkiye A2 Takımı’nda “International Challenge Trophy” kupasını kazandı.
• 2012-2013 sezonunda Galatasaray’da 3.kez süper lig kupasını kazandı.
• 2010 yılında Türkiye A Milli Takım formasıyla ilk golünü attı.
• 2012-2013 sezonunda Sivasspor’a, 2013-2014 sezonunda Şanlıurfaspor’a, 2014-2015 sezonunda Balıkesirspor’a transfer oldu.
• Futbol hayatını, 2015 sezonundan beri yine Bursaspor’da devam ettiriyor.

“We gave the city what it deserved”

“There was an extraordinary atmosphere in the city on the day of the final match. All of Bursa was ready for becoming championship. If we couldn’t win the final match, we would come 2^nd at the end of the league. We knew that being 2^nd would also be a success, but we wanted this city to experience being a champion.

 Interview: Mert Cerav 

We talked with Sercan Yıldırım, a member of the championship roster of Bursaspor, scorer of the first goal during the match his team received its first point in Europe who started soccer as a hobby which later turned out to be his profession in which he had many successes at a young age about Bursa, Bursaspor and being from Bursa.

First of all let’s hear about how your sports life began…

It started as a hobby at the Bursaspor Professional Soccer School. I got soccer training as part of the Bursaspor infrastructure.

Whatdo you think the secret to being a “successful player”is?

Working hard and being dedicated are the two most important things for a soccer player. They first taught us these at the infrastructure. Bursaspor is a huge community and being part of this community is also a driving force. A successful player also earns the support of fans.

There were times you played for different teams. How did it feel during those times to come to your homeland for away matches?

Nervous. Bursaspor fans demoralize the opponent team. I was born and raised in Bursa. I belong to this city. Therefore, when I came here while playing for other teams, it felt so weird. Also one time, when we came for an away match to Bursa, there we played only in front of female spectators. That was an interesting experience.

How did you feel before the final match resulting with the championship of Bursaspor?

We defeated Beşiktaş with a score of 2-1 in the final match of the season. With news of a draw from Kadıköy, perhaps a new era for the Turkish history of soccer began. Playing in that match, giving the pass for the goal bringing victory to us, is an inexplicable honor.

How did it feel to say good bye to the Atatürk Stadium?

Our elders have decided on the demolishment. Atatürk Stadium had a different ambience. I feel so lucky for being able to experience the spirit of the stadium. Raising the championship cup high up to the air in that stadium makes it all the more special. I collected good memories to tell my children in that stadium.

Fans and tribunes. These two should mean a lot to a player….

Absolutely. High energy of the fans motivates me a lot before a match. Being able to cheer with fans, being one with the tribunes and running in the field with that energy is fascinating. Therefore, I prefer doing the “crocodile walk” after scoring a goal. As I mentioned before, I am a child of Bursa. I was once a fan in the tribunes, and I also worked as a ball boy. Bursaspor fans mean a lot for me.

Let’s hear about future, your plans and dreams a little?

I cannot think one sided while making plans for the future. When I do so, other factors appear out of nowhere. I am very happy to be a part of Bursaspor. I want to maintain my soccer life in this community, in the city I belong to. No matter how my soccer life goes, my biggest goal is to live my entire life in Bursa.

• Scored his first goal for the Turkish A National Team in 2010.
• He was transferred to Sivasspor during the 2012-2013 season, to Şanlıurfaspor in 2013-2014 and to to Balıkesirspor in 2014-1015.
• He continues his football life in Bursaspor since 2015.
