where you can spare a few hours
for yourself during a weekend.
Botanic Park is a place where
you can go every season and it
makes you feel as if you are in a
movie scene at every corner. In
autumn it is filled with a yellowish
melancholy while laying aside
the leaves scattering around in
the romantic winds. Whereas
in spring it shakes itself off and
shares the energy it receives
from the sun with all its visitors
awaiting the coming of spring.
Botanic Park is a place where
you can find all the colors of the
four seasons while feeling that
you are living inside a postcard
and it will kindle the spring
inside you with its clear air, lots
of oxygen, trees and in short its
nature.
“Bursa Zoo” provides all
opportunities so that animals feel
at their natural habitats and it has
been the focus of tourists as well
as the residents of Bursa since
the day it was opened as part of
the Botanic Park. “Bursa Zoo”
protects animals which are about
to be extinct as well as instilling
a love for animals and nature in
the hearts of children while giving
its visitors the opportunity to
observe a natural environment.
In addition, Bursa Zoo is also a
member of the European Animal
Zoos Association (EAZA) and
is home to many animals most
of which you will see for the first
time. Bursa Zoo has managed
to provide living areas to many
different living beings so that they
can feel at home and each year it
is visited by about 150 thousand
people. The foundations of this
modern project date back to the
zoo that was first started in 1955.
This zoo inside the exhibition
area has gone worse during
the 90’s and it was decided
to renovate and advance due
to the demands of the public.
Construction has started in 1997
with support from EAZA and in
one year it has been completed
to take on its final form that still
stands today. Bursa Zoo has
attracted a great deal of attention
from all ages since it first opened
its doors and it is in compliance
with international standards.
There is an environment in which
the animals feel at their natural
habitats so much so that you
