Bursa Kuşu’nu tescil ettirmişler
fakat bunu yeterli görmüyorlar.

en zengin ve parlak tüylü
kuşlarından bir tanesi...
Nadiren bulunuyor. Makaracı
türündeki kuşlardan en bilineni
olsa da sahipleri tarafından
çok fazla uçurulmadığından
artık makara yapanı da
oldukça az. Hatta birçok
güvercin besleyene göre
“Bursa Kuşu” makara
yapmıyor… Buna sebep olan
başlıca neden ise bu kuşların
kostümlerine (görünüşlerine)
bakılıp alınıp satılması. Tüm
kuş severler tarafından böyle
bir tavır sergilenmese de bu
özel kuşun başına gelen ve
belli özelliklerini kaybetmesinin
altında bu yatıyor. Oynar
bundan 30-40 sene öncesine
kadar yükseklerden aşağıya
makara şeklinde taklalar
atan bir kuşmuş. Ama artık
böylesine bir özelliği taşımıyor.
Başlıca özelliği “hızlı” diğer bir
ifade ile “atletik” bir kuş olması
ve ayrıca gözle görülmeyecek
kadar yükseklere çıkabiliyor.
Bu kuşlar diğer güvercinlere
nazaran çok daha uzun
soluklu uçuşlar da yapabiliyor.
Yetişkin bir Bursa Kuşu 7-8
saat gibi uzun bir süre havada
kalabilecek özelliklere sahip.
Ama yetiştiricilerinin tabiriyle
“altın kadar değerli” olan bu
kuşların bu özelliği de gerek
kaybetme korkusu gerekse
şahinlere kaptırma korkusu
sebebiyle yitip gidiyor.
Oynar sahipleri kuşların
uçmalarına çok da taraftar
değil… Bugünkü oynar kuşları
ortalama 3-4 saat uçabiliyor.
Makara türü kuşların
haslarından olmasına rağmen
makara yapmıyor. Ama bilinen
en seri kuşlardan… Havada
takip edebilmek oldukça güç!
Hızlı uçmalarının sebebi de
yine ırkından kaynaklanıyor.
Kanatlarını yarım açarak
uçan Bursa Kuşu başınızı
döndürecek kadar hızlı
uçabiliyor.
The Bursa bird shines just like
the Green Tomb with its green
color over a black shawl. It has
one of the richest and brightest
furs in the world… It is very rare.
Even though it is one of the best
known roller birds, those that do
indeed roll while flying are very
rare indeed since they do not
find the chance to fly that often.
And most people think that the
“Bursa Bird” no longer rolls...
This is mostly due to the fact that
these birds are purchased and
sold based on their costumes
(appearance). Even though not
all bird lovers act the same way,
the underlying reason for this
special bird to lose its unique
properties is this. It is told that
rollers were birds that flew down
by rolling over and over about
30-40 years ago. But now they
cannot do so.
Its main attribute is its “speed”;
it is a very “athletic” bird and
can rise so high that it cannot be
seen with the naked eye. These
birds can also fly much greater
distances than other types of
pigeons. An adult Bursa Bird
can stay in the air for up to 7-8
hours. This unique property is
“as precious as gold” according
to the breeders; however it is
lost over time due to fear of
losing them or fear of the birds
being hunted down by hawks.
The owners of rollers do not
want their birds to fly so much…
Today, roller birds can fly for
about 3-4 hours on average.
They cannot roll even though
they are among the real roller
birds… It is very difficult to track
them in the air! Their speed in the
air is also due to the properties of
their species. Bursa Birds that fly
with wings at a half-open stance
can fly at dizzying speeds.
Rollers can rapidly rise up or
descend and they are great
tumblers as defined by those
who breed pigeons… Even
though they are quite tough due
to their nature, they can be quite
timid in comparison with other
pigeon species. In addition, they
are also very sensitive to twinkle,
which is another term that the
pigeon breeders would know…
Even though Bursa Bird is mostly
bred in central Bursa, there are
also breeders in the İnegöl,
Mustafakemalpaşa districts as
well as Eskişehir, Afyon and
Istanbul. However, it is almost
impossible to come across this
species of birds outside of Bursa.
These traditional birds of Bursa
have certain characteristics that
can be traced for generations
since they date back 60-70 years
as a tradition passed down from
fathers to sons. This unique
species has various colors such
as black wing white tail, white
