Beatles soul continues in “Sir”
Paul McCartney, who earned
knighthood for his contributions
to music and Ringo Starr who
acted in many movies, along
with releasing albums and doing
stage performances. Though
it is an indescribable feeling
to listen to the melodies that
were inspired by a legendary
generation and have reached
our day, watching the movies
or even the documentary-like
videos about the groundbreaking
band, reading the books written
about them, it can never live
up to thrill of going to an actual
Beatles concert, swaying to the
music, living during their time…
With their songs about equality,
love, peace, being human,
and dreaming…in short songs
about life, every word said about
The Beatles is inapt and every
definition is inadequate, this was
the case yesterday and will be the
case tomorrow… The generations
who could not have lived with
them can only try to sense them
through their movies with the
prints of the generation they
inspired and the songs of million
colors they left behind.
The Beatles never aimed to
create a style or be different and
attract attention. They only did
what they wanted to do. They
were who they wanted to be, they
wanted to give back what they
got out of life to people via their
music. For many Beatles fans,
they never should have broken
up. For some they never did and
they never got old. After they
split, the soul of the Fab Four
continued in the songs they left
behind that continues to join all
people with a common rhythm,
even long after the two members
of the band have passed away.
It looks like they will go on doing
that. The eternal Beatles spirit
echoes in eternity with the 4
asteroids named after them in
the 80s.
