1. Apollo Kelebeği
Apollo Kelebeği
koleksiyoncuların yüzünden
Bursa’nın nesli tehlikede
olan değerlerinden biri. Yılda
sadece 3-4 gün ortaya çıkan
bu kelebek, Uludağ’ın “koca
kanatlı meleği” olarak kabul
ediliyor. 360 günde gelişimini
tamamlıyor ve 5 gün içinde
uçmaya başlıyor. Ölmeden
önce Sedum isimli bitkilere
yaklaşık 100 adet yumurta
bırakıyor. 150 milyon yıldan
fazladır yeryüzünde bulunan
Apollo kelebeklerinin vücutları,
kürk gibi görünen siyah tüylerle
kaplı ve boyları 12 cm’yi
bulabiliyor. Siyah benekli aşırı
ince kanatları, 6000 metre
yükselebilmelerini sağlıyor.
2. Bursa Bıçağı
93 Harbi’nden sonra Balkan
göçmenleriyle birlikte Bursa’ya
gelen bıçakçılık, zamanla
gelişerek Bursa’nın geleneksel
mesleklerinden biri oldu.
Bursa’nın bıçak ustaları, bıçağın
üzerine isimlerini işler ve
bıçağın büyüklüğünü ekledikleri
yıldız sayılarıyla belirlerlerdi.

1. Apollo Butterfly
The Apollo Butterfly, in danger
of extinction due to overhunting,
is one of the values of Bursa.
Showing up only for 3 or 4
days a year, it is also known
as “the large-winged angel” of
Mount Uludag. It completes its
metamorphosis in 360 days and
begins to fly in 5 days. Butterflies
lay about 100 of their eggs on or
near the food plant Stonecrop
(Sedum). Existing for more than
150 million years, the body of
Apollo butterflies is covered by
dark hair which seems like fur
and they are maximum 12 cm. in
length. Their black eye-spotted
transparent wings enable them to
fly up to 6000 meters.
2. Bursa Knives
Knife making, brought to Bursa
by the Balkan immigrants after
the “93 War”, has become one
of the traditional professions of
Bursa. The master craftsman
used to carve their names on the
knife and would determine the
size of the knife with the stars
they added on it. Besides those
many known knife types, the
production of “grooved” Bursa
knife has continued until the ban
of those types of cutting tools in
1953. Ottoman military weapons
such as swords, daggers and
stilettos were produced in
16 values of Bursa
