Gazetede çalışıncaya kadar
haber fotoğrafı hakkında pek
bir bilgim yoktu.
Hava fotoğrafçılığına
ilginiz ne zaman başladı?
Ne kadar süren, nasıl bir
eğitimden geçtiniz?
Orman Bölge Müdürlüğü
yangın söndürme amacı ile
her yıl 3 ay Rus helikopterleri
kiralıyordu. Bu dönem
başladığında ya da bitiminde
kalan süreyi gazetecileri
ve bürokratları helikoptere
bindirip Bursa ve ilçelerini
gezdiriyorlardı. Bu sırada
Orman Bölge Müdürlüğü’nün
yaptığı yangın söndürme
ve ormancılık etkinlikleri
izletiliyordu. İlk hava
fotoğrafçılığım bu şekilde
başladı. İlk uçuşumda birçok
önemli bölgenin fotoğrafını
çekme şansım olmuştu. Nergis
Holding’e ait helikopterler
vardı. İşim için birçok bölgenin
fotoğraflarını çektim.

Regional Directorate of Forestry
rented Russian helicopters for 3
months every year for firefighting
purposes. They took journalists
and bureaucrats for a ride around
Bursa and its environs in these
helicopters at the beginning
of this 3 month period or more
towards the end. Firefighting
and forestry activities carried
out by the Regional Directorate
of Forestry were shown during
this time. I first started aerial
photography like this. I had the
chance to take pictures of many
important regions during my first
flight. There were helicopters of
Nergis Holding. I took pictures
of many different regions as part
of my work. Then the number
of these flights increased.
I worked in many different
projects. In 2003 I participated
in a paragliding course, but I did
not fly solo after the 22nd flight
due to some different reasons.
However, I flew with one of the
best pilots in Turkey at many
different regions of the country
and took many pictures. I did
not receive any special training
in this field. I was lucky enough
to have the chance to fly. I made
the best of it and turned it into
something efficient.
