Alone with Bursa
You can spend a day in Bursa
at the very first moment when
you get a chance. You can walk
around in the historical bazaars,
walk along the Hisar and listen
to what Bursa witnessed during
the past centuries. You can lose
yourself amidst the hustle and
bustle of the city, the rush of the
people around you, stallholders,
shopkeepers and families who
are out shopping for weddings.
If this mini-adventure in the city
tires you out you can take shelter
in Koza Inn and rest while sipping
your Turkish coffee. You may
plan on examining the fabrics
more closely which attract your
attention as you look around…
The veteran
adventurer of Bursa
How about climbing up to the
blue sky at which you look for
long minutes and dream until
your neck starts aching? One of
the safest options for this is the
veteran of Bursa, the cable car
that was renovated a few years
ago… Let the excitement you
experience during the ride that
lasts a few minutes mingle with
the happiness you feel when you
see the amazing scenes from up
high. Maybe one of those small
buildings you see as you climb
up is your house…
Challenging water…
Being in the water gives an
indescribable sense of peace to
some, a happiness and energy
that one cannot get enough of…
Near it, in it, over it or under it…
One feels good even when one
closes one’s eyes and listens
to its sound only. In this sense,
Bursa is a paradise. If you are
among the adventurers who think
the same way, one of the aquatic
adventures of Bursa is just for
you. For instance, you can head
down to the Sukaypark in the first
chance you get. Sukaypark has
hosted important international
events such as Wakeboard World
Championship and European
Cable Wakeboard Championship
but its doors are open to all
who know how to swim. If
you have never experienced
wakeboarding, then maybe this
year is the time to do so.
Bird’s eye view of Bursa…
Another option which will enable
you to enjoy the view of Bursa
from up high is paragliding. The
Gürsu track at an altitude of 706
meters on the Katırlı Mountains
located to the northeast of Bursa
is one of the safest spots for
paragliding. Another spot for this
experience that will sweep you off
your feet is Fadıllı on the coast of
the Uluabat Lake… You can color
up the time you spent for yourself
and your loved ones here at the
aviation facility. If you want, you
can go on a short trek amidst the
green forests of the region before
you leave and enjoy the lake. The
idea of paragliding that will have
you up and flying like birds in
the Bursa skies might be scary
at first. However, your fears are
bound to transform into joy a few
minutes after you climb higher in
the control of experienced and
expert trainers.
