Bu bölgenin şu anki ismi de
en az tarihi kadar ilgi çekici.
Ulu önder Atatürk’ün ismini
taşıyan bu ilçe, aynı zamanda
Atatürk’e sıkı sıkıya bağlı bir
ilçe. 1922’de 285 sayılı kararla
da adı Mustafa Kemal Paşa
yapılmış. Bursa’ya 18 kez gelen
Atatürk, son seferinde ilçeye
uğramak istemiş ama suikast
ihbarı nedeniyle Bandırma
üzerinden İzmir’e geçmiş.
İlçeye, Ata’nın gelemeden
ayrılması nedeniyle Mustafa
Kemal Paşa adı verilmiş.
İlçenin adıyla anılan meşhur
peynir tatlısının ünü ise ilçenin
sınırlarını aşmış durumda.
Türkiye şelaleleri arasında
önemli bir yere sahip olmasının
yanı sıra sapa bir noktada
bulunan şelale, Çataltepe
adı verilen bölgede...
Muradiyesarnıç Köyü’ne çok
yakın ve Bursa’nın meşhur
nehirlerinden biri olan Karadere
üzerinde yer alıyor. İnsanın
görkemli ağaçların gölgesinde
dinlenmesi ve doğa ile bir
bütün olduğunu hatırlaması
için en doğru yerlerden biri
olan Suuçtu Şelalesi görsel
mucizesini Karadere üzerindeki
fay hattının çökmesine borçlu.
Çataldağ eteklerinden doğan
birkaç küçük dere ise suların
kaynağını oluşturuyor. Renk
renk çiçeklerle dolu bir yoldan
geçerek ulaşacağınız şelalenin
Suuctu, one of the most
significant falls in Turkey, is in the
Çataltepe region, very close to
the Muradiyesarnıç village and
is on the famous Karadere River.
The fall owes its visual wonder
to the fault line on Karadere,
creating a sense of necessity
to rest under the shadows of
splendid trees and remember
being one with nature. Several
small streams born at the skirts
of Çataldağ (mountain) is the
source feeding Suuctu. When the
waterfall embraces you with its
full glory, falling from 38 meters,
you have no recollection of the
winding road that took you all
the way up the hill. The waterfall,
a highly popular destination for
escaping the city, not only helps
its visitors to gather the energy
to last all through the year but
also provides water for the whole
town.
There is no electricity around
the waterfall that becomes 30
meters wide and 50 meters
deep during the winter. The only
luxury is the meat cooked at the
barbecue... Rocks of various
colors, a trait of the region, all
the shades of green, ice cold
water, crisp air that rejuvenates
your lungs, the cascading sound
of water touching your soul will
let you think this is all the luxury
you need in the world. The small
ponds formed around the falls
during the months of abundant
water enhance its beauty. In
addition, along with this one,
there are other small falls in the
region. Suuctu is surrounded
