These days everyone wants to
go. To a small coastal town,
To another country, to the moun-
tains or to places far away…
No one enjoys their lives.
It is the same whomever I talk
with… The longing to go away
leaving everyone and everything
behind. They do not want to take
“three things” with them.
Just themselves. Which is enou-
gh anyway. It means you’ve taken
everything and everyone.
If only one could leave one’s own
self behind. But alas.
Let’s say that we are content with
ourselves, we still cannot do it.
One cannot just leave everything
and go. So this is how it is.
A part of us says “come on let’s
go” while the other says “stay”.

Bugünlerde herkes gitmek
istiyor. Küçük bir sahil
kasabasına,
Bir başka ülkeye, dağlara,
uzaklara...
Hayatından memnun olan yok.
Kiminle konuşsam aynı şey...
Her şeyi, herkesi bırakıp gitme
isteği.
Öyle “yanına almak istediği üç
şey” falan yok.
Bir kendisi. Bu yeter zaten.
Her şeyi, herkesi götürdün
demektir.
Keşke kendini bırakıp gidebilse
insan. Ama olmuyor.
Hadi kendimize razıyız diyelim,
öteki de olmuyor.
Yani her şeyi yüzüstü bırakmak
göze alınmıyor.
Böyle gidiyoruz işte.
Bir yanımız “kalk gidelim”
öbür yanımız “otur” diyor.
