Bursa’nın en gözde simgesi
teleferik ilk kez 1963 yılında,
uzun süren çalışmalar ve
çabalardan sonra Bursalılarla
buluşmuştu. 50 yıl boyunca
yolcularına şehirle dağ
arasındaki 20 dakikalık
yolda heyecan ve hayranlık
dolu anlar yaşatarak, kısa
süre içinde yerli ve yabancı
turistlerin de göz bebeği haline
geldi. Ancak son yıllarda
iyice yaşlanmış, onunla
yolculuk yapanları tedirgin
etmeye bile başlamıştı. 2012
yılı kasım ayında başlatılan
çalışmalar sonucunda eski
ihtişamına kavuştu. Zamana
ayak uyduran modernlikteki
yeni teleferik, eskisinden
12 kat daha fazla kapasiteli
kabinleri, 7 Haziran 2014
tarihinden itibaren başlayan
seferleri ile yolcularına hem
güvenli hem de konforlu
yolculuklar sunuyor. Bursa’nın
yeni teleferiği, kullandığı çevre
dostu enerji ile de doğaya
zarar vermeden ulaşım sağlıyor
ve artık halkın her kesimine
hitap ediyor. Eskiden belki
birçok insan için lüks olarak
görülürken; bugünkü haliyle
her mevsim, herkes tarafından
kullanılabiliyor.
60’lı yılların teknik imkânlarıyla
yapılan ve aynı zamanda
ülkenin ilk teleferiği de olan
Bursa teleferiği, Bursa’ya gelip
kente hayran kalarak buraya
yerleşen, “Alman Amca”
olarak da anılan mühendis
Hubert Sonderman’ın eseri…
Dönemin Belediye Başkanı
Reşat Oyal’ın 1957 yılında
açıkladığı teleferik projesine,
bir yıl sonra Sonderman’ın
çalıştığı firma olan Von Roll
firması ile anlaşılarak başlandı.
Kaynak arayışları, dönemin
teknik yetersizlikleri gibi
engeller yüzünden, 30 kişilik
kabinleriyle kentin simgesi
The cable car is one of the best
known symbols of Bursa and it
started service for the first time in
1963 after a long period of work
and effort. Shortly thereafter it
became a favorite of local and
foreign tourists and carried them
for 50 years on a 20 minute long
exciting trip between the city
and the mountain. However,
recently it aged a lot and even
caused its travelers a great deal
of stress. In November 2012, it
reached the glamour of its past
after the renovation work carried
out. The new cable car became
modernized with cabins of 12
times more capacity and now
carries its travelers in a safe and
comfortable manner since June 7,
2014. The new cable car of Bursa
provides safe transportation in
an environment friendly manner
and serves all segments of the
public. In the past it was seen as
a luxury, but now it can be used
by everyone in every season.
Bursa cable car was built in
the 60s with the technical
infrastructure of the time and is
the work of the German engineer
Hubert Sonderman who is known
as the “German Uncle” and
who had settled down in Bursa
when he came here for the first
time and loved the city… The
cable car project announced
by the Mayor of the time Reşat
Oyal in 1957 was started after
an agreement was made one
yeaer later with the Von Roll
company where Sonderman was
working. The symbol of its time,
the cable car was able to start
operation with 30 people cabins
only in October 29, 1963 due
to the technical inadequacies.
Sonderman had provided a much
needed form of transportation to
the locals of Bursa and not only
given the city a value known by
its name but had also decided
to stay there after the work was
completed. When he died in 1976
the “German Uncle” of Bursa
was buried in the Emir Sultan
Cemetery in accordance with
his will and the 50 year journey
of today’s modern cable car had
started.
