girebilmeleri için de ihtiyaçları
olan eğitimi alabiliyorlar. Tüm
müzik türlerini, makamları
öğrenebiliyor, sosyalleşebiliyor,
düzenli çalışma programlarına
dâhil olup derslere girerek
tüm alanlarda kendilerini ve
yeteneklerini test edebiliyorlar.
Hem yalnızca Romanlar
da değil, sınavı geçen her
müzik aşığı yararlanabiliyor
bu okuldan. Okulun kapıları
herkese sonuna kadar açık.
Tıpkı müziğin evrenselliği
gibi… Notaları, makamları,
nedenini açıklayamadıkları
bir şekilde büyüsüne kapılıp
peşinden gittikleri müzik
hakkında bilmeleri gereken her
şeyi öğreniyorlar. Ekip olmayı
öğreniyor bu okulun öğrencileri.
Bir araya gelen farklı müzik
türlerinin, farklı enstrümanların
hayranlık veren uyumlarına ayak
uyduruyorlar. Türkiye’de bir ilk
olan ve büyük hedeflere sahip
bu proje, hem eğitmenlerinin,
hem projede emeği geçenlerin
hem de öğrencilerinin geleceğe
dönük umutlarını yarınlara
taşıyor. Roman müzisyenlerinin
genlerinden sonraki nesillere
ulaşan yetenekleri ve müzik
aşkları, bu okulda aldıkları
eğitim ile güçleniyor.

Can, Kibariye, Ebru Gündeş,
Müşerref Akay, Balık Ayhan ve
daha niceleri… Tanıdığınız bu
isimlerin ve daha birçoğunun
kökenleri Romanlara dayandığı
biliniyor. Hem Türkiye’de hem
dünyada bir sürü ünlü isim
çıkmış Romanların arasından.
Ne malum dünyaca ünlü daha
nice isimlerin, orkestraların
da Bursa’dan, bu okuldan
çıkmayacağı?

the Ottomans. The name of
it is “Musician School.” This
school actually started 3 years
ago but dreams of it date way
back. The foundations of this
school date back to 2010 when
the Musician School at Merinos
was established following the
suggestion by Recep Altepe.
It was opened in 2013 at the
Musician School at Kamberler.
Today, the school selects its
students with an examination
who after graduation perhaps will
go on to wherever their abilities
may take them and who might
one day be a part of the Romani
Orchestra of the Musician
School.
The goals of the project are to
bring in the Romani of Bursa
to contribute to their own lives,
to the city, to the country and
perhaps even to the world.
Because here in this school,
they have the opportunity to
complete their education, acquire
a profession, develop their
abilities, discover themselves
and to receive a strong musical
education by continuing on
to 4 year plans part of various
curricula and related programs.
They organize concerts annually
and take part in various
organizations. They also receive
the education they will need to
go on studying further at various
faculties of fine art. They learn
all musical styles, maqams;
they can socialize and test their
abilities in all areas by enrolling at
various regular study programs.
Not only the Romani, but any
lover of music can benefit from
these schools. The gates of the
school are open to anyone. Just
like the universality of music…
They learn all they need to know
about music which has taken
them on a magical journey
through its notes and tunes for
reasons that are unbeknownst to
them. The students of this school
learn how to be a team. They
keep in step with different styles
of music and the awe-inspiring
harmony of different instruments.
This project is a first for Turkey
and it has significant goals while
carrying the hopes of both the
instructors and the students to
the future. The abilities of Romani
musicians that is passed down
to posterity via the genes of the
Romani gain strength through the
education they get at this school.

Müşerref Akay, Balık Ayhan and
many more… It is known that
the roots of all these names
and many more go back to the
Romani. Many famous names
have emerged from amidst the
Romani both in Turkey and all
over the world. Who knows,
perhaps many new famous
names will spring out from
among the Romani of Bursa?
