buildings or walls of the city are
carried out by a unit set up only
for this purpose. Bursa Urban
Aesthetic Unit has a team of
about 100 people who have
been coloring up the different
spots in the city since 2012.
This team detects details that
disrupt the aesthetic of the city
thus causing visual pollution
and tries to put forth the urban
aesthetic works all around the
world. Vehicles with 360 degree
rotating cameras placed on
them roam around the city after
which regions to intervene are
determined by watching the
images. Just like the 360 degree
panoramic shoots and mapping
system used by Google and
Yandex. While the team that is
aided by this system that is used
for the first time in Turkey by the
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality
ensures the cleanliness of the
city, it also adds new artistic
values to the city with aesthetic
belirleniyor. Tıpkı Google ve
Yandex’in kullandığı 360 derece
panoramik çekim ve haritacılık
sistemi gibi. Türkiye’de ilk kez
Bursa’da Büyükşehir Belediyesi
tarafından uygulanan bu
sistemden yardım alan ekip,
bir yandan kentin temizliğini
sağlarken, diğer yandan estetik
dokunuşlarla kentin sanatsal
değerlerine yenilerini ekliyor.
Trafoları, atıl binaları, istinat
duvarlarını tuval gibi kullanan
ekip, kendi ekibine kattığı ya da
dışarıdan anlaştığı sanatçılarla,
kentine değer veren Bursalılarla
birlikte hareket ediyor, gelen
talepleri de değerlendirerek
ilerliyor. Kent Estetiği Birimi’nin
amacı ise; ana arter, cadde,
meydan, bulvar ve benzeri
kentsel mekanlarda kent
estetiğini bozan, görüntü kirliliği
yaratan uygunsuzlukların
