Oylat covered with colorful
flowers in the spring and feel
the romanticism of the season
in the air during fall… You feel
freshened up with its cool waters
despite the scorching sun in
summer; whereas in winter you
run away from the harsh cold
outside and warm yourself up in
its hot baths. Oylat makes you
feel as if inside a postcard all four
seasons with its fresh scent of
soil you can enjoy or the rustling
leaves and chirping birds that will
help you relax. You will think as if
you are inside a painting that is
transformed into a masterwork
with the brush strokes of a
master. Oylat is a small place
that lies back on the foothills
of Uludağ, surrounded on both
sides with green valleys but it
hides so much beauty inside it…
Oylat became a popular holiday
village not only with its healing
waters and curative air, but also
with its facilities that have been
increasing in number recently.
It attracts attention from all four
corners of Turkey thanks to its
unique scenery. It is also a refuge
preferred by the locals of Bursa
for short holidays of 3-4 days or
even for daily escapades due
to ease of transportation. A lot
of people go there for treatment
purposes upon the suggestions
of doctors while many spare a
few days there for themselves in
order to freshen up.
Oylat is actually one of the first
places that is conjured up in
one’s mind and hot springs
come to mind first when one
is reminded of Oylat. Indeed,
Oylat is one of the gems of
Bursa not only due to its hot
springs for which many fantastic
tales are told but also due to its
valley, cave, bridges that radiate
“happiness”, its canyon and
waterfall. Oylat is located within
the borders of Inegol known with
its 5000 year past and promises
health, history, peace, mystery
and unmatched sceneries to its
visitors. It leaves people with
moments and memories they
will wish to remember all their
lives with its hot springs ranked
second in the world, its cave and
waterfall.
Vitalizing drops
Oylat hot springs which cure
many ailments are located on
the Bursa – Eskişehir highway. It
is about 27 kilometers to Inegol
which is 58 kilometers from
Bursa. Transportation to Oylat
is quite easy and its existence
dates back to a legend that has
been told for centuries and that
is known by almost everyone.
According to this legend; “The
feudal landlord of the region
during the reign of the Byzantine
Empire had a daughter whom he
cared for more than himself. One
day this beautiful girl falls ill and
becomes bedridden. Doctors,
drugs, prayers have not been
able to cure the disease. Days,
months, years have passed
but the girl has not recovered.
So much so that people have
lost all hope for her. Even her
father. Indeed, even the daughter
has lost hope of herself. The
desperate doctors have advised
the father to take her daughter
to the hot spring which was not
yet named. The landlord has first
