Dünyanın başkenti The capital of the world
dergi bursa'nın İngilizce yayın hayatına başladığı sayıda “uzaktaki yakın” köşemize
Londra'yı konuk etmesek eksik kalırdı. Nitekim rotamızı Avrupa'nın kuzeybatısına
doğru İngiltere'nin başkentine çeviriyor ve kraliçeye konuk oluyoruz. Mr. and
Mrs. Brown ile karşılaşır mısınız bilemem ama İngilizcenizi test etmek için doğru
yerdesiniz. Tedirginliğe gerek yok çünkü anadili İngilizce olanlar azınlıkta. Welcome
to London and please “Mind the Gap!”
It would have been incomplete if we had not put London in our “so far so close” corner
of this issue that dergi bursa begins its English publication. Thus, we set our route
towards the northwest of Europe to the capital of England and be the Queen’s guest. I
do not know whether we will come across Mr. And Mrs. Brown, but you are at the perfect
place to test your English. No need to worry, because native speakers of English are a
minority. Welcome to London and please “Mind the Gap!”
