uçuşlarının başladığını da
belirtmeli. İlk bakışta Heathrow
iyi bir tercih gibi gözükse de
görece yüksek bilet fiyatlarını,
dünyanın en yoğun trafiği
olan havalimanı olmasından
kaynaklı olası rötarları ve
ana giriş kapısı olmasından
kaynaklı daha uzun vize gişe
kuyruklarını hesaba katarak
diğerlerine yönelmek de iyi bir
fikir olabilir. Kuzeydoğu'daki
Stansted'ten trenle Liverpool
Street istasyonuna tek yön 23
pound karşılığı 45 dakikalık
bir yolculukla, Gatwick'ten
ise express tren ile 18 pound
karşılığı 30 dakikalık bir
yolculukla Victoria İstasyonu’na
yani şehir merkezine ulaşmak
mümkün. Tercih sizin.

Heathrow is the most well-known
and the closest to the city, with a
25 km distance, mostly prefered
by flag carrier airlines like British
Airways and Turkish Airlines.
Located in abit further away are
Stansted and Gatwick; used
mostly by more bugdet friendly
airlines like Pegasus and Easyjet;
which use Sabiha Gökçen Airport
in Turkey. I should also indicate
that Turkish Airlines has also
began its Gatwick flights from
Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen.
Though Heathrow seems to
be the right choice at first,
considering the relative expensive
flight tickets, possible delays
due to being an airport with the
busiest traffic around the world
and having longer visa queues for
being the main entrance, chosing
an alternative might be a better
choice.
It is possible to arrive to Liverpool
Street Station by train, for 23
British pounds, with a 45-minute
journey from Stansted, in the
northeast, and with 18 pounds for
a 30-minute journey from Gatwick
to Victoria Station, in other words
to the city center, by an express
train. It is your choice.
As you know one of the most
important questions when you go
to a new city is: “Where to stay?”
In an unfamiliar place, especially if
the city is large, the hotel fares in
the center might be expensive and
there are too many alternatives,
the question of where to stay
can even become a big problem.
My advice would be to choose a
budget-friendly hotel at the Earl’s
Court, South Kensington or Old
Town districts -which are all close
to the underground and night bus
route- in order to ease the rest of
your stay.
To prefer to walk constantly to
sightseeing areas in London
would not be a clever choice.
Therefore, you’d better get used
to using the underground, in other
words the “Tube” and hearing the
“Mind the Gap” anouncements
which try to warn you to take a
