The celebrations after winning
the Turkish League title on the
streets of Bursa will always remain
as unforgettable memories for
the residents of the city since it
was the victory that ended the
hegemony of the 4 biggest teams
in Turkey and made everyone
in this city proud. The march of
UEFA Champions League at
the football temple of Bursa’s
Atatürk Stadium and the football
revolution in Anatolia will also
stay in the memories of these
people forever. Our unforgettable
moments with our green-white
pride, which shone as “Green
Pearl” and then as “Green
Alligator”, are the moments
that nobody could foresee at
the beginning of the season.
However, we all witnessed
how important faith was to
achieve something. Everybody
in Turkey talked about Bursa.
This achievement that came
in the last years of a 50-year
football adventure, made us very
happy. But the success was not
a coincidence. It was achieved
after a long and tiring period of
50 years.

yankılandığını. Anadolu’da
futbol devrimi yaşandığını.
Şampiyon çıkarmış bir şehir
olduğumuzu. Daha evvel
“Yeşil İnci” iken, daha sonra
“Yeşil Timsah” olarak parlayan
yeşil beyazlı gururumuzun
bize unutulmayacak dakikalar
yaşatması belki de o sezonun
öncesinde hiçbirimizin aklına
bile gelmezdi. Ama “inanmanın”
neleri peşinde sürüklediğini
hep birlikte yaşadık. Tüm
Türkiye Bursa’yı konuştu. Yarım
asırlık bir futbol serüveninin
son yıllarında gelen bu başarı,
hepimizi sevince boğdu. Fakat
başarı tesadüf değildi. Ardında
50 seneyi saklıyordu.

(Akınspor, Çelikspor, Pınarspor, Acar İdmanyurdu, İstiklâl)
birleşmesinden oluştu.
Bursa reformed with the joining of 5 teams (Akınspor,
Çelikspor, Pınarspor, Acar İdmanyurdu, İstiklal) under the
signed protocol in 1963
