yaptığı ilk bestesini tüm

adına bir “Myspace” sayfası

eleştirmenlerin övgülerine
olduğu kadar İngiltere’de
birçok ödüle layık görüldü.
Brit Awards’ta “Eleştirmenlerin
Seçimi” ödülünü aldı. Dünyanın
en değerli ödülleri arasında
bulunan Grammy’ye de bu
albümüyle hak kazandı. Dünya
çapında 2 milyonu aşan satış
rakamlarına ulaştı. İngiltere
Başbakanı’nın ona gönderdiği
mektuba kadar, ülkesini,
içinde bulunduğu ekonomik
krizden kurtardığını farkında
bile değildi. Bir anda hem
maddi hem de manevi değeri
artmış, Başbakan’ın ülkesi
adına gönderdiği teşekkür
mektubunda belirttiği gibi
ülkesi için “tünelin ucundaki
ışık” olmuştu.
2011 yılında çıkardığı ikinci
albümü 21 çıkar çıkmaz,
Madonna’nın rekorunu kıracak
kadar uzun bir süre kalmak
üzere listelerin başında yerini
almıştı. Bu albüm Michael
Jackson’un 39 haftalık
rekorunu da yerle bir etti.
21, 39. hafta da listenin 5.
sırasından 3. sırasına kadar
yükseldi. Amerika dâhil 18
ülkede tüm listelerin başında
olması ve efsane grup The
Beatles’tan sonra aynı
zamanda hem albüm hem de
single listelerinde ilk beşte
yer alması ile de tarihe geçti.
Beatles ile bir ortak yanı da
ilerleyen yıllarda alacağı
“Kraliyet Nişanı” olacaktı.
2011 yılında Grammy’sine
kavuşan şarkı “Someone
Like You” American Music
Awards’tan 3 ödül aldı. Zaten,
21 albümünün aldığı ödüllerle
Guiness Rekorlar Kitabı’na
girmiş olmasının dışında
bir özelliği de bu şarkıydı.
Adele’nin kendisinden ayrılıp

in 2011 stayed at the top of the

number 3 from number 5 in the
39th week. She made history
when her album became number
one in 18 countries including
America and when she was
ranked in the top five in both
the album and the single lists
following the footsteps of The
Beatles. Another point that would
be common with The Beatles
would be the “Order of the British
Empire” that she would receive.
In 2011 the song “Someone Like
You” was given the Grammy
award as well as 3 awards in the
American Music Awards. Another
feature of the album 21 after
entering the Guinness Book of
World Records with the awards it
received was this particular song.
Adele made her listeners cry with
this song that she composed for
her lover who left her to marry
someone else and this song
quickly turned into a “requiem
of love” that everyone sang
together during the concerts.
Those who had never listened
to Adele before and those who
didn’t even know her name got
to know her thanks to the video
of this song that was clicked by
millions of people online. In a
website she was declared as the
“Voice of 2008” and she always
stayed at the summit with her
songs that were given dozens
of awards and that remained at
the top of the lists as soon as
they are released. In 2013 she
received “The Most Original
Song” awards at the Golden
Globe and the Academy Awards
with the song “Skyfall” she
composed for the James Bond
movie and during the ceremony
it was clear that she had not lost
the excitement of her youth when
she received her first award.
Despite her unhappiness in her
personal life, she was always
on the rise from the first days of
her career. Problematic parents,
love affairs that finished when
she was abandoned and dreams
that are shattered every time…
All were negativities that fed
her music while slowly pushing
her towards hopelessness. But
still she never gave up and tried
everything to straighten things
out. She believed that her career
that filled almost all her life that
was responsible from her love
affairs to end suddenly as well
as disappearance of the people
she loved. She took breaks from
music just to be able to spend
more time with the man she loved
and to give him her time as well
as her heart. But the result was
disappointment again and it was
always music that consoled her.
Actually Adele was also a hopeful
young girl who dreamed just
like her peers of a garden where
children played and a house
with the man she loved. Neither
the fame nor the millions she
earned were ever in her dreams.
She never lived a life filled with
material for the paparazzi. Her
heart started pounding once
again with love when she found
a man who respected her work
and loved her dearly. She had a
health problem about her vocal
chords after which she stated that
she overcame this difficult time
with the support of her boyfriend
Simon Konecki from whom she
had an extramarital child. She
didn’t care about her marital
status and what he thought about
her because she believed that
she would start a new life with the
birth of her son.
Maybe the only record that
Adele wanted to break was
that of happiness. A lifelong
of happiness, joy and love in
a loving home… Just like she
expresses and will continue
to express in her songs. Her
songs that reach the hearts of
her listeners through her voice
surpasses countless love songs
that have been composed until
today. The most awarded, the
most album sales, the most
listened, the most clicked videos,
and the most liked, the best
known… We can never be sure
the number of “mosts” that she
wishes to add to this list but it is
clear that she has left her mark
on the history of music that
cannot be erased easily even if
she does nothing else from now
