Munich: city of parks
What do you know about Munich? Bavarians who wear traditional clothes in their daily lives, beer gardens, museum,
Oktoberfest, BMW… All is okay but with one thing id missing. Green should be the first word to define Munich. A
greenness that Bursa cannot even hold a candle to. A significant portion of the city center is covered with parks
the best known of which is “Englischer garten”. The peaceful spot you see in the picture is not a rural location; it is
located right at the heart of the city. The colossal city park known as Olympiapark dates back to the eventful 1972
Olympic Games. You can find everything here… An Olympic stadium where you can bungee jump, a television
tower with a perfect view, athletics track, Olympic swimming pool, speed skating track, bicycle roads, running track,
tennis courts, an artificial lake full of swans where you can rent a boat…
