sonucu bekleyen binlerce
Katolik tarafından doldurulmuş
meydanda onlarca canlı yayın
yapan kameranın önünde bir
prefereti kardinal cinayeti nasıl
gerçekleşecektir? Meydana
vardıklarında Langdon,
Haşhaşin’in vazgeçebileceğini
düşündüğü anda küçük
bir kız çocuğunun çığlığı
ile yanıldığını anlar. Katil,
kardinali düşkün bir evsiz
kılığına sokup yardım ediyor
görüntüsü vererek Dikilitaş’a
kadar getirmiş ve göğsünde
ambigram hava mührünü
önceden basarak acıdan
bayılttığı kardinalin tam
zamanında her iki akciğerini
delerek “hava”sızlıktan
ölmesini sağlamıştır.

Batı Rüzgârı, doğuyu

Heykel, Azize Theresa’nın
uykusunda bir melek
tarafından ziyaret edildiğini ve
meleğin ona ateşli mızrağını
sapladığı anı anlatıyordu. Bu
ziyaretin manevi değil cinsel
içerikli olduğu da sıkça iddia
edilmişti. Azizenin ifadelerinde

The West Wind on the San Pietro
Square points eastward and this
is no doubt a sign. However,
contrary to the previous line,
there are countless churches and
historical artifacts on the eastern
line that intersects Rome. The
third symbol is “fire”. Both battles
have been lost but the war is still
ongoing.
Dr. Langdon realizes as a result
of his dangerous (!) research
in the Vatican archives that the
statue by Bernini entitled as the
Ecstasy of St Theresa has been
removed from the Vatican due
to its erotic associations to be
placed by the suggestion of
Bernini to v Della Vittoria church.
The master has deliberately
built a statue that would be
considered obscene for the
Vatican and using his influence
placed the statue right where he
wants it.
The statue depicted the moment
when Saint Theresa was visited
by an angel in her sleep and the
angel stabbing her with a fiery
lance. It has been claimed many
times that this visit was not for
spiritual but for sexual purposes.
It was “Seraphim” meaning full of
fire that carried out this fiery visit
to the saint whose words were
full of the word “fire”. They could
not be wrong, the third murder
was to take place here.
Langdon, Vittoria and the head
of the Swiss guards Olivetti
rush to the church. The line on
the map passes through the
Barberini Square right before
the church. And an obelisk was
located here just like the one at
Piazza Popolo and San Pietro
Square at the time of Bernini until
it was relocated due to the fear
that it can damage the subway
construction. Langdon has no
doubt; Hashashin is waiting
for them at Santa Maria Della
Vittorio.
Things get complex when they
reach the church. The third
cardinal is lying on the wooden
benches placed on top of each
other and burned with a stamp
on his chest (“fire”) and is slowly
burning while hanging as if
crucified by cables. There is a
confrontation. Hashashin kills
Olivetti, neutralizes Langdon and
kidnaps Vittoria.
The church is not generally
included in the list of places
to see in Rome. However, you
can reach this church that has
become famous after the book
by hopping on the A line of the
Metro and getting off at the
Barberini or Republica stops. If
you get out at the Republica stop
and walk towards the Barberini
Square, you will see beautiful
streets. There are also beautiful
shops on the street that starts
from the Republica towards
Vittorio Emmanuel Monument.

for spending some time listening
to the sweet tunes by the
musicians who are always here
