baraj gölü üzerinde su sporları
da yapabilirsiniz. Ayrıca tekne
turlarına katılabilir ve Fırat’ın
serin sularında yüzebilirsiniz.

da kebap yemeli elbette.
Mezelerin tek tek tadına
bakmalı insan. Yemeğin
sonunda gelen elmanın
üstüne kahve içmeli. Yerel
lezzetleri arasında; erik
tavası, lövlez dürümü, dolma
eziği ve mumbar var. Tatlı

daughter of Euphrates and one
should taste Şabut fish or kebap.
You should also try out the side
dishes one by one. You should
have a coffee after the apple that
is served at the end of the meal.
Panned plum, lövlez roll, stuffing
paste and mumbar are among
the local dishes. Cheese halva is
served as dessert. Of course one
should not forget çiğköfte and
poppy seed kebab. There are
some nice restaurants in Halfeti
some of which are established on
floating barges. There are also
cozy guest houses and pensions
where you can stay amidst local
motifs. You can reach Birecik
famous for its eggplant kebab by
following the 35 km coastal road.
The district is officially affiliated
with Şanlıurfa, however it is 120
km. away from Şanlıurfa and 105
km away from Gaziantep. That
is why it is more related with
Gaziantep in terms of socio-
cultural relations. There are many
means of transportation to the
district during the day. There is
also a suspended bridge that
shakes with every step you take.
