fotoğrafçıların, uçurtma
şenliklerinin, bisiklet
tutkunlarının gözbebeği
bu ada, son zamanlarda
yaşadığı değişim ve gördüğü
ilgiyle daha da renklendi ve
büyülü geçmişini gelecek
nesillere taşımaya hazır. Her
yıl fotoğrafçıları, ressamları,
müzisyenleri, edebiyatçıları,
sporcuları, doğaseverleri,
tarih ve mitoloji tutkunlarını
buluşturan Gölyazı’da herkese
yer var. Bu büyülü ada,
orada yaşayanların sevgisi,
günübirlik misafirlerin ilgisi,
göçmen kuşların sadakati
ve mitolojik kahramanlara ait

Gölyazı is a pretty and candid
island that connects with a
small bridge to the Halilbey
Island, one of the 8 islands on
the Uluabat Lake which is one
of the first settlement areas of
Bursa as well as a stopping
point for the migratory birds. The
island is popular among storks,
photographers, kite festivals and
bike lovers and is ready to hand
down its magical past to posterity
as it changed in recent years
due to the popularity it received.
There is room for everyone at
Gölyazı which brings together
photographers, painters, writers,
sportsmen and women, lovers
of nature as well as history and
mythology aficionados. This
magical island is protected by
the love of the locals, interest of
the daily visitors, loyalty of the
migratory birds and the spirits of
mythological heroes. The tales of
Gölyazı has been passed down
to generations, the magnificent
scenes of sunset and of people
making a living from the water
are reflected on the fertile waters
of Uluabat Lake.
Under the branches of the
Weeping Sycamore that await to
hug you affectionately, right next
to the boats that are waiting to
reunite with the water and on the
chairs that the locals will push
towards you so that you have
a rest as you stroll through the
narrow streets… You will have
plenty of time and space to rest
at Gölyazı. That is why; do not
give in to your tiredness when
Gölyazı has so many places
that are anxious to reveal their
history and so many memories
to be shared. Shop from the
many souvenir stands and taste
the local food. Stop by historical
places, pass in front of house
windows and doors decorated
with flowers, greet the storks
you will see along the way; walk
along the narrow streets that
lead down to the river. Join the
fish auction that is organized
every day. Enjoy chatting with
