beyaz perdede onu görmek
istiyordu. Hatta bazı sinema
severler için, neredeyse
“Bellucci’nin filmde olması o
filmi izlemek için yeterli” hale
gelmeye başladı. O artık her
zaman örnek aldığını söylediği
İtalyan oyuncular Sophia
Loren ve Claudia Cardinale’nin
izinden giden başarılı bir
sinema oyuncusuydu. Erken
yaşta ekonomik özgürlüğünü
eline almış olmasından
mutluluk duyduğunu her
fırsatta dile getiren Bellucci,
“bu yüzden mantık değil,
aşk evliliği yaptım” dediği
kocasıyla birlikte, olaylı sahnesi
yıllarca konuşulan “Dönüş
Yok” filminde oynadı. Matrix
üçlemesinin son iki filminde,
filme bambaşka bir hava
getiren Persephone karakterine
hayat veren oyuncu, 2003
yılında “Güneşin Gözyaşları”
filminde Bruce Willes ile
başrolü paylaştı bir yıl sonra
Mel Gibson’un yönettiği
“Tutku” isimli filmde Magdalalı
Meryem olarak karşımıza
çıktı. Bellucci, adını dünyaya
duyuran ilk filmlerinden sonra,
yönetmenlerin ısrarla istediği
ve ilk olarak tercih ettiği isim
oldu. Dünyaca ünlü dergilerin,

Return” with her husband about
whom she says that “I made a
marriage of convenience, not
of love”. The actress gave life
to the character Persephone in
the last two movies of the Matrix
trilogy and shared the leading
role in 2003 with Bruce Willis in
the movie “Tears of the Sun”,
after which she appeared as
Mary Magdalene in the movie
“The Passion” directed by Mel
Gibson. After her first movies that
made her known throughout the
world, Bellucci became a name
that directors sought for and
preferred. She was selected as
the “World’s Sexiest Woman,” or
as the “World’s Most Beautiful
Woman” in surveys that famous
magazines or brands made.
Years passed and now she is an
older woman but no one thinks
like this except her. Maybe it is
because of her genuineness,
maybe due to her modesty that
those who work with her and who
are around her always mention;
or maybe because she is “only
herself”. She refused to live in
America when she was offered to
do so since she was one of the
most sought after actresses in
Hollywood. She had said that the
people living there moved away
from their naturalness because of
their fixation on youth and beauty;
whereas she did not want to deal
with these but just try to enjoy
every moment of her life. In the
2012 movie written and directed
by the Iranian director Bahman
Gobadi, “Rhino Season”, Bellucci
plays a woman who has been
loyal to her love for years. Some
parts of this joint production
were shot in our country during
which Bellucci said that she was
“hosted like a princess” and
the movie has another attribute:
Bellucci shares the lead role with
Turkish actors/actresses such
as Yılmaz Erdoğan, Beren Saat,
Caner Cindoruk, Belçim Bilgin.
Bellucci wore age makeup for
this role, but even though she lost
nothing of her beauty and despite
the fact that everyone believes it
to be true except her, she claims
that she is too old to be called
sexy.
Even though she does not refuse
that beauty makes certain things
in life easier, Bellucci respects
the effects of time on her beauty
and body. Maybe she is not
afraid because she not afraid
of growing old. It is actually the
fact that she does not strive to
be “hot” and “sexy” that makes
her so. Bellucci has succeeded
in putting forth her talent by
breaking the prejudice that
beauty brings with it and she has
stayed standing all these years
by being loyal to her instincts and
moving in unison with the current
time whispering to us that we will
keep on hearing her name for
many years to come.
