Those who wish to get out of the
city for a while can get on a 30
minute subway ride to see Pire
(Xenopsylla). It still continues to
be an industrial district and an
important port location. It is not
on our priority list but we can
visit there to stroll by the sea. If
you wish to make an island tour
for a day from Athens, Saronikos
Islands are the closest. If you
cannot get enough of the temples
but also want to see the beach
for a while then you can go to
the Sounio District located on
the southeast tip of Attica. It is
possible to enjoy the sea view
at the region where Poseidon
Temple is located on a hill
near the coast and to enjoy the
beaches and the Aegean Sea.
The neighbor capital of Athens is
a city that should be on the top
of your list of places to see with
its closeness, the wide range
of transportation alternatives,
common culture, the life energy it
gives with its history and culture.
We will get to know each other
more and shatter all prejudices
as new generations visit each
other. The waves of the Aegean
coasts will carry more peace and
zeibek and sirtos will combine
with the crashing sound of the
waves. If you go there with
minimum prejudice you will see
that what we have been taught is
very far away from what it actually
is when our coasts are much
closer.
