halde Yunan taksicilerin namı
Sultanahmet’tekileri sollamış
durumda.
Atina Metrosu aslında dünyanın
en eski metrolarından biri.
1900’lerin başında kurulmuş
sistem tek hatlıymış. Ancak
Avrupa Birliği üyeliği ve
Olimpiyat yatırımları ile çok
hatlı ve sık sefer yapan bir
metro ağına sahip olmuşlar.
Atina Metrosu aynı zamanda
bir antik çağ müzesi. Metro
yapımı sırasında çıkarılan
eserler Syntagma ve Acropolis
duraklarında sergileniyor. 3 ana
hatta çalışan metro ile şehrin
önemli noktalarına rahatça
ulaşmak mümkün. Atina’nın
güneyinde yer alan sahillere
giden tramvaylar da Atina’nın
güneyindeki Yeni İzmir ve
Glyfada gibi yerleşimlere
gidiyor. Bilet fiyatları çok da
pahalı değil. Kombine bilet
1.40 Avro. Kombine bilet ile
90 dk içinde metro, otobüs ve
tramvayı kullanmak mümkün.

Izmir with its culture of balconies
and general architecture even
though it does not have a
contact with the sea. I think
one can mention an unplanned
urbanization in general as a
problem. The Acropolis winks
at you from high above the city
wherever you go acting as a
benchmark. Our city tour will
also be around the Acropolis. It
is better to select your point of
accommodation near the city
center so that you can rest for a
while when the whole city is at
siesta during the noon hours.
Even though the harsh economic
crises they have experienced has
resulted in somewhat relaxing
this attitude, all shops and even
some pharmacies and groceries
are closed at noon and can stay
closed for up to 3:30 pm. The
banks are open from 8 am to 2:30
pm from Monday to Thursdays
and until 2 pm on Fridays.
Almost all places to see in Athens
can be reached on foot. That
is why my suggestion will be to
discover the city by walking. The
best location to start is the main
square of the city Syntagma,
known also as the Constitution
Square. The dominant structure
in the square is the Parliament
Building. Unknown Soldier
Monument is located right across
the front façade of the building
overlooking the square. The
