Ayaklarımızı, ellerimizi suya
sokalım diyorsunuz. Bir çeşit
terapi gibi. İnsanı rahatlatıyor.
Çok uzaklardan bile hissedilen
sarımtırak yoğun beyazlık
ve tuz kristallerinin ışık
hüzmeleri, insan beyninde
kaçınılmaz olarak kar ve buz
dolayısıyla soğuk çağrışımı
yapıyor. Ayaklarınızı suya
sokana kadar bu duygudan
kurtulamıyorsunuz. Beden
kendini eksi derecelere
hazırlıyor. Soğuk olmadığını
fark edince; önce şaşırıyor
sonra alışıyor, ardından da tuza
değdiğinizi iyice algılıyorsunuz.
Tuz Gölü’nün Kapadokya
güzergahı üzerinde olması
nedeniyle turistler göle
uğramadan geçmiyor.
Çeşitli hediyelik eşyalar
da alabilecekleri bir yer
burası. Burada mola veren
turistler, gölün içinde de
yürüyüş yapıyor. Gölde su
olunca daha fazla ilgi oluyor.
Ancak yaz ilerledikçe suyu
görmek neredeyse imkansız.
Türkiye’nin en sığ gölü demek
bile yetersiz artık. Tuz Çölü
demek çok daha yerinde.
Tuz üzerinde 3-4 kilometre
yürünebiliyor. Sonrasında
diliniz damağınız kuruyor
Salt Lake is located right in the
center of Anatolia, on the border
of Ankara, Konya and Aksaray.
That is why it is one of the most
frequently visited places by those
who pass through the road-side
facilities and one stops there
even for 15 minutes. You even
want to put your hands and
feet in the water. Like some sort
of therapy. It is relaxing. The
yellowish whiteness and the
light rays reflecting from the salt
crystals that can be felt from very
far away reminds one of cold due
to associations with snow and
ice. You cannot shake off this
feeling until you put your feet into
the water. The body prepares
itself for negative temperatures.
Once it realizes that the water
is actually not cold; it is first
surprised and then you realize
that you are actually touching
salt.
Since Salt Lake is located en
route to Cappadocia, tourists
do not pass by without visiting
it. This is a location where they
can purchase souvenirs too. The
tourists that give a break here
walk in the lake. It is even more
attractive when there is water in
the lake. However, in the summer
times it is almost impossible
to see any water. Now, it is
not enough to say that it is the
shallowest lake in Turkey. Salt
Dessert would be more fitting.
You can walk on salt for 3-4
kilometers. Of course then you
get very thirsty. People generally
return back after 500-600 meters.
The surface of the lake is covered
with pearl white salt until the end
of October.
The tourism season depends
on the increasing temperature.
