Fazla detaya girip şu güzel
atmosferi dağıtmak niyetinde
değilim ama bir kez daha
tarihten ders almak ve insanlık
tarihinin en yüz kızartıcı
eylemlerini görüp insan olma
ortak paydası ile utanmak,
tek kelimeye sığdırılınca
biraz kulağımızın alıştığı
“soykırım”ın ne menem bir şey
olduğunu detaylar, kanıtlar
ve hikayeleriyle görmek
için gidilmeli mutlaka. Çok
etkilenecek, ne yapacağınızı,
ne hissedeceğinizi,
ne söyleyeceğinizi
bilemeyeceksiniz.
Bir de tabi tarihi Potsdam
şehri var vakit arttıranlara
mutlaka önereceğim. Potsdam
aynı zamanda Branderburg
eyaletinin başkenti ve
Unesco Kültür Mirasları
Listesi’nde Almanya’nın en
zengin varlığını oluşturuyor.
2.Dünya Savaşı’nda
bombardımanlardan payını
almamış olması ile çok iyi
korunabilmiş. Berlin’e trenle
yaklaşık bir saat mesafede
çoğunluğu doğal alan olan
18 adet göl ve nehriyle bir
doğa harikası, muhteşem bir
sakinlik ve şıklık şehri. Schloss
Sanssouci Sarayı ile birlikte
birçok mimari güzelliğe de ev
sahipliği yapıyor. Günübirlik
bir tur harika bir bisiklet keyfi
ile zarif bir gezi deneyimi
yaşatabilir.
İki sayı sürdü ama nihayet
sonuna geldik Berlin’in de.
Başkent deyince turistik
bir içerik vaat etmiyor gibi
dursa da gördüğünüz gibi
çok zengin bir dünya kenti
Berlin. Önyargıları bir yana
koyup, bir an önce bu şehrin
sokaklarında kaybolmalı,
kısa bir süreliğine de olsa
hem tarihi hem de modern
Berlin’in bir parçası olmalısınız.

vermeden dönmeyin. Bir
sonraki sayıda bir başka dünya
kentinde ama daha güneyde
buluşmak üzere...

Nearby Places
I can almost hear you say, “It’s
okay to fit Berlin in one trip but let
us forget about nearby places”.
Still, I would like to mention a
few places. For instance, the
Sachenhausen Concentration
Camp north of the city is a really
good alternative. I will not go into
too much detail and disturb the
nice atmosphere of the article,
but you should definitely visit
this camp to see learn from
the mistakes in history and feel
ashamed of the awful actions
of mankind thus realizing once
again via details, proofs and
stories how “terrible” genocide
really is. You will certainly be very
affected and you won’t know
what you should do or feel or say.
And of course there is the
historical Potsdam city that
I can recommend for those
who have some spare time.
Potsdam is also the capital of
the Branderburg state and is
the richest asset of Germany in
the Unesco Cultural Heritage
List. It has been well preserved
because it was not bombed
during the 2nd World War. It is
a calm and classy city which
is also a wonder of nature with
18 natural lakes and a river that
is about one hour away from
Berlin by train. It is home to
many structures of significant
architectural importance
including the Schloss Sanssouci
Palace. You can experience a
great daily tour via bicycles.
It took us two issues but finally
we are wrapping up Berlin. Even
though it seems as if it does
not have significant touristic
attractions as a capital, Berlin is
a very rich world city as you can
all understand. One should leave
aside all prejudice and get lost
amidst the streets of this city thus
becoming part of historical and
modern Berlin even if for a short
period of time. Do not get back
home without giving the “Ich bin
ein Berliner” pose in front of the
Branderbug Gate. See you in
