zannetmeyin burayı, bildiğimiz
seyyar kebapçı gibi. Bir
Soul Kitchen değil ama
yolunuz Kreuzberg taraflarına
düştüğünde uğramadan
olmaz. Kime sorsanız gösterir.
Çılgın bir kuyruk olabiliyor,
haberiniz olsun. Tatlı olarak
tabi Berliner. Adından da
anlaşıldığı üzere Berliner,
buraya özgü bir pasta çeşidi.
Tatlı bir hamur üzerine ya
da içine artık reçel, çikolata
hangisinden istiyorsanız
koyuyorlar, siz de yemelere
doyamıyorsunuz. Fakat tüm
Almanya’nın aksine yerel
halk Berliner’e, ne zorları
varsa, “Pfannkuchen”
diyor. Gidip “abi bi tane
Berliner istiyorum” demek
yerine bunu diyeceksiniz.

original. The original is located
in the Allied Museum. This one is
here only as a touristic attraction.
And since you are a tourist,
you can join the fun and have
your picture taken in front of US
flags, Charlie’s control tower and
Johnny’s or purchase some 2nd
World War memorabilia.
What to eat and drink at
Berlin?
Berlin is a fine city but it is
difficult to say that it has a
cuisine of its own. “Currywurst”
is one thing that is accepted
to be specific to Berlin. Do not
be fooled by its flashy name,
it is just spicy sausage. Those
who are sensitive about their
selection of meat should not
forget to ask for halal meat. Fast
food alternative is of course,
Döner. I had mentioned the
large population of Turks in the
previous article, so you can see
a döner shop at every corner.
The most popular one among
these is undoubtedly “Mustafa’s
Gemüse Kebap”. This small
kebap store is very famous.
Do not think that this is a fancy
restaurant where you have to
reserve in advance and sit by
famous gourmets; this place
resembles street vendors. Not a
Soul Kitchen of course, but worth
stopping by if you pass through
Kreuzberg. Anyone can direct
you to this place if you ask. But
be wary, there is always a long
queue. For dessert: Berliner.
