Kreuzberg. Kreuzberg’in doğu

Gallery yeni hedefimiz. Bu
yazının assolisti Doğu’nun
Friedrichshain semtini Batı’dan
ayıran Berlin Duvarı’nın
yıkılmadan bırakılan 1.3 km
uzunluğunda kesintisiz en
uzun parçası, uluslararası
bir özgürlük anıtı. Galeri,
aslında 1990 yılında Berlin
Duvarı’nın doğu yakasında
dünyanın çeşitli yerlerinden
ressamların yaptığı 105 duvar
resmini tanımlıyor. Dünyadaki

specific to the city. They spread
either ham or chocolate on
some sweet dough according
to your preference and you can
never get enough of it. But unlike
the remainder of Germany, the
local people of Berlin call it
“Pfannkuchen” for some reason.
You will have to pronounce this
weird name instead of going up
to the seller and saying, “I want
a Berliner”. I don’t know how
you can manage to pronounce
this, but that’s just how it goes.
We mentioned it in our piece on
Munich, but of course beer is the
ultimate title one should not miss
when talking about Germany.
There are hundreds of different
types. The name of the beer that
is special to Berlin is of course
called, “Berliner Weiße”.
East Side Story: East Side
Gallery
This is the spot that people will
make fun of you if you do not
visit while in Berlin. As you know,
Kreuzberg is located right behind
Checkpoint Charlie. Our new
target is the East Side Gallery
located on the eastern border
of Kreuzberg on the bank of
the Spree River. The longest
uninterrupted piece of the Berlin
Wall at 1,3 km that divided the
Eastern district of Friedrichshain
from the West and the headliner
of this article as an international
monument of peace. The name
Gallery is actually used for the
105 wall paintings on the eastern
side of the Berlin Wall created
in 1990 by painters from all over
the world. It is one of the largest
open air galleries in the world
that has been open to visits for
the longest period of time. These
paintings emphasize that the
time for change has come as well
as the hopes for a freer world.
Almost two thirds of the paintings
have been damaged due to
erosion, graffiti and vandalism.
The remainder one third has
been repaired starting in 2000 by
a non-profit organization. Various
copyright issues are still ongoing
for some of the paintings. I do
not know its original version, but
even its current version is enough
to satisfy people. Prepare to
see some perfect wall paintings
and graffiti. The most famous
among these are the passenger
