It still remains a mystery how bicycles first appeared, but
they kept on transforming over centuries thus reaching
our day. Bursa has a significant share in this adventure of
bicycles and they slowly became objects of desire since
it was here where the first bicycle races were organized
and where the first bicycle route was drawn.
İlk ortaya çıkışı bugün hala gizemini koruyan
bisikletler, yüzyıllar boyunca şekilden şekle girip
günümüze kadar geldiler. İlk bisiklet yarışlarının
yapıldığı ve ilk bisiklet yolu rotasının çizildiği Bursa’nın
da bisikletin bu serüveninde ve git gide büyüyen bir
tutkuya dönüşmesinde hatırı sayılır bir payı var.
Hazır mevsimi de gelmiş,
havalar iyice ısınmışken Botanik
Park’ta bisiklet kiralayıp biraz
turlamaya ne dersiniz? Ya da
kış boyunca sizi bodrumda
veya balkonda boynu bükük
bekleyen bisikletinizin gönlünü
almaya? Bisiklete binmek keyifli
bir etkinlik, faydalı bir spor
olmasının yanı sıra bir ulaşım
seçeneği ve sosyalleşme aracı,
hele ki son yıllarda…
Şehir hayatının yoğunluğu,
gürültüsü, arabaların kirlettiği
hava insanlara ağır geldikçe
birçok açıdan daha çok avantaj
sunan bisikletler herkese daha
cazip görünüyor. İnsanlar
işlerine bile bisikletle gitmeyi
tercih eder hale geliyorlar.
Sabahları yeni günü küçük
bisiklet turlarıyla karşılıyor,
hafta sonları bisikletlerini alıp
gidebildikleri kadar uzaklara
gidiyorlar. Belki yakın bir
köye, bir şehre hatta bir
ülkeye… Çünkü bisiklete
binmek tarifi henüz bisiklet
tutkunları tarafından bile
yapılamayan gerçek bir sevda.

Riding a bike is a fun activity and
a beneficial sports activity but
recently it has become a choice
of transportation as well as a
means for getting social…
Bicycles are becoming more
and more attractive to people
as the hustle and bustle, noise
and the polluted air of cities feel
heavier and heavier. People
have started to prefer biking to
work. They greet the new day
with short bicycle tours in the
morning and they hop on their
bikes to ride as far as they can
go during the weekends. Maybe
to a nearby village, a city or even
a country… Because riding a
bike is a real passion which is
yet to be defined even by bicycle
aficionados. Because once you
hit the road with a bike you wish
it never ends and that you just
keep on riding. You cheer up as
the road gets longer and longer;
you feel happy as you share
with your friends the beautiful
sceneries you see on the road.
Sometimes you face difficulties
but you overcome them with the
